That&#8217;s why I&#8217;ve ventured to try and collect some <strong>cultural experiences in Tokyo<\/strong> that I highly recommend for your journey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h1>Cultural Experience in Tokyo<\/h1>\n<p>Classic experiences such as tea ceremony or kimono dressing, are great classics that you can find in many Japanese cities even less famous, as in the pretty <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/warmcheaptrips.com\/en\/kitsuki-the-samurai-city-of-kimono\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kitsuki Town, where I walked among Samurai houses wearing a Kimono<\/a><\/span>,<\/strong> for this reason, I&#8217;ll not include those ones into <strong>special experiences to do in Tokyo<\/strong>, although they are absolutely interesting and recommended. Actually, I recommend doing the tea ceremony in Kyoto,\u00a0 there is a more realistic atmosphere in my opinion \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<h2>Ninja Experience with a Real Descendant Family<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"52\" data-end=\"502\">There are plenty of more or less touristy ninja experiences available both in Tokyo and in <span style=\"color: #f99b1c;\"><a style=\"color: #f99b1c;\" href=\"https:\/\/warmcheaptrips.com\/en\/visit-mie-japan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"147\" data-end=\"165\">Mie Prefecture<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u2014the historical homeland of the ninja\u2014and it&#8217;s certainly an activity that attracts not just kids, but also adults who are passionate about history or anime (does <em data-start=\"327\" data-end=\"335\">Naruto<\/em> ring a bell?). But only the<strong data-start=\"355\" data-end=\"386\"><a href=\"https:\/\/musashi.ninja\/ja\/%e4%bd%93%e9%a8%93\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #f99b1c;\">Musashi Ninja Clan<\/span><\/a><\/strong> can claim to be a real family descended from actual ninjas, who relocated to Edo following the Tokugawa Shogun.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"908\">The nineteenth-generation descendant of this clan decided to open this dojo, connected to a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving traditional culture and ninja history. This came after the family abandoned the \u201cninja profession\u201d for fifty years, following her grandfather\u2019s decision to leave that path\u2014historically associated with assassination\u2014after converting to Christianity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"1417\">Of course, the Musashi Clan no longer engages in espionage or killing, but they continue to train and pass on their secret techniques, now opening their doors to visitors interested in discovering this mysterious world.<br data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1140\" \/><br \/>\nThe experience includes a <strong>demonstration of ninja movements and techniques<\/strong>, <strong>explanations of the weapons used by ninjas<\/strong>, and interactive moments where you can try walking stealthily or throwing shuriken yourself. It&#8217;s a true experience, the place is super Instagrammable, and painting the lanterns is more intricate than it seems! Price: <span style=\"color: #00aae7;\"><strong>4,000 yen<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>At <span style=\"color: #f99b1c;\"><a style=\"color: #f99b1c;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.edokimekomi.com\/workshop.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Tsukada Koubu<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, artisan Tsukada Sensei creates stunning <strong>Kimekomi dolls<\/strong>: paulownia wood dolls covered with silk fabric scraps. The kimekomi technique originated in Kyoto and developed and enriched in ancient Tokyo during the Edo period when many Edo Kimekomi dolls were in demand for the Hina Matsuri celebration, given the refined details of the kimonos worn by these dolls. In his workshop, you can create a pendant using this traditional technique for only <span style=\"color: #00aae7;\"><strong>1,980 yen.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, I recommend <span style=\"color: #f99b1c;\"><a style=\"color: #f99b1c;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.sokichi-workshop.com\/blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sokichi<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, where you can customize a <strong>glass using the Edo Kiriko<\/strong> technique, which involves decorating glass by carving it with water. Once you&#8217;ve decided on the design, it&#8217;s processed on the appropriate machine which, depending on the pressure applied to the glass, carves it, creating beautiful patterns that play with light and shadow. Trust me, every time I drink from the glass I created, it&#8217;s a moving experience!
