Fly into Godzilla\u2019s Mouth? Live a Dragon Quest Adventure? Solve Ninja Missions? Nijigen no Mori is the Park for You!<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you ever dreamed of doing at least one of these things? Then <\/span>Nijigen no Mori<\/b><\/a><\/span> is the perfect park for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located on <\/span>Awaji Island<\/b>, less than an hour from <\/span>Kobe<\/b>, this large park is gaining fame as a paradise for fans of Japanese pop culture. This <\/span>free-entry green area<\/b> features various themed zones where visitors can completely immerse themselves in their favorite fantasy worlds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dragon Quest Island, Naruto & Boruto Shinobi-zato, Godzilla Interception Operation, Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park, Monster Hunter: The Field<\/b>, and <\/span>Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba<\/b> are the areas currently available. For each one, there are different types of tickets, ranging from standard access to options with added benefits, goodies, or extra missions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prices vary depending on the day and season, so if you have the flexibility, I recommend visiting on a <\/span>weekday<\/b>, when tickets are generally cheaper than on weekends or public holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Nijigen

I had the chance to try out <\/span>three attractions<\/b>, all with the basic entry tickets. However, if you’re a superfan, you might want to consider choosing just <\/span>one zone<\/b> but buying a higher-tier ticket, so you can fully immerse yourself in the adventure\u2014especially if you plan on wearing a cosplay!<\/span>
\n<\/span>Here\u2019s my experience and what I thought of each one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dragon Quest Island<\/h2>\n

If your dream is to step <\/span>into a video game in real life<\/b>, forget those silly city karts and come here!<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m not into video games at all (I\u2019ve never even played one!), but I had <\/span>so much fun<\/b> taking on this adventure in the world of Dragon Quest!<\/span>
\n<\/span> You enter a village, and using a <\/span>token<\/b> provided at the entrance, you interact with screens and objects scattered throughout\u2014just like in the beloved RPG game. You have to search everywhere, leaving no corner unexplored (even the hidden ones), to digitally collect the items needed to progress and train to fight weaker monsters before gaining enough HP and power to face the final boss.<\/span><\/p>\n

I admit, it was more challenging than I expected! Everything is really well done, and you end up walking quite a bit, searching for the right chest or the person who\u2019ll give you the next clue. But I had an <\/span>amazing time<\/b>, even with the light ticket, and I\u2019d love to go back in the future and try the <\/span>gold package<\/b> with extra missions! Apparently, even the light mission changes from time to time, so I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll return!<\/span><\/p>\n

It took us <\/span>over an hour and a half<\/b>, and we never had to queue for the screens or main monsters. However, we were told that sometimes there’s a <\/span>wait to face the final boss<\/b>, as only a few people can enter the combat room at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you defeat the final boss, you can also buy a <\/span>souvenir photo<\/b> with a sword and shield, along with a picture of the digital team you chose. Afterwards, recharge with themed food at <\/span>Luida\u2019s Bar<\/b>, which you can also visit without playing the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Nijigen

Naruto & Boruto Shinobi-zato<\/h2>\n

This is the <\/span>most famous attraction<\/b> in the park, especially among international visitors. Naturally, it\u2019s based on the ninja world of <\/span>Naruto<\/b>, and yes\u2014you can eat at the legendary <\/span>Ichiraku Ramen<\/b>, beloved by the main character!<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Naruto & Boruto Shinobi-zato Village<\/b> is very photogenic, with the <\/span>Hokage Rock<\/b> hiding a wooden maze, and statues of the main villains spread throughout the area. The ramen shop and souvenir store are located inside the village and, unlike other themed restaurants, you <\/span>can\u2019t access them without a ticket<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>light ticket<\/b> includes two missions: you\u2019ll receive two scrolls, <\/span>Heaven<\/b> and <\/span>Earth<\/b>, on which you need to collect stamps. To complete the Heaven scroll, you go through the maze hidden in Hokage Rock\u2014it takes about an hour. The Earth scroll involves collecting stamps across the village, and in some cases, you must perform <\/span>ninja hand signs<\/b> to open boxes containing the stamps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honestly, I didn\u2019t find it very exciting, and I would <\/span>recommend the Gold Ticket<\/b> instead, which includes an <\/span>extra mission<\/b> involving puzzles and mysteries (also available in English).<\/span>
\n<\/span> There are other ticket packages that include not only the basic and extra missions, but also <\/span>goodies<\/b> like the scroll backpack or Gaara\u2019s pouch.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you visit the Naruto & Boruto Shinobi-zato in the <\/span>late afternoon<\/b>, you can also enjoy a <\/span>light show<\/b> at Hokage Rock.<\/span><\/p>\n
